“I’ve wanted to play at Casper College since I was a sophomore in high school,” says 5-foot-5-inch Kayla Evans of Cheyenne, Wyoming. The sophomore guard heard good things about Casper College from a high school teammate who played for the Thunderbirds, adding, “Casper College is one of the best junior colleges out there, and I thought that I would fit in.”

Ruth Nwokora came all the way from Lagos, Nigeria, to play basketball at Casper College. The 6-foot sophomore post says that she has always wanted to play professional basketball and to do that she needed to come to the “States” and play competitive ball at the collegiate level.

Casper College has hired Ryan Davis as the school’s new assistant women’s basketball coach. Davis, who replaced Sarah McNamee, joined Head Coach Dwight Gunnare today.

Casper College’s Women’s Basketball Head Coach, Dwight Gunnare, has been named Coach of the Year in Region IX for the 2015-2016 year. The Lady T-Birds ended the year with a record of 28-5.
